A tailored startup file is available, designed by Norm Burkholder, CPA, a Supervising Coordinator, and Certified Trainer for use in his own MA business. He and other member's of his CPA Firm are registered Professional Advisors for Intuit QuickBooks products. The file works with both QuickBooks Basis and QuickBooks Pro versions 5, 6, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. It also works with the new Premier and Accountant's versions too. The entire current MA price guide of products and supplies complete with retail, distributor cost and special BV fields keyed in to the "items list." These items all link to the proper store's income and cost of sales accounts. Lookup fields, indexed by store, eliminate the time consuming need to find item numbers in the MA price guides for product ordering and preparing sales invoices. 2. A customized chart of accounts is included which shows income and cost of sales by store. Operating, selling and administrative cost centers are also provided. Accounts are setup for keeping track of tax related costs like Home Office Deductions, Estimated Federal, State & Local Payments, Self Employed Health Insurance, etc. You can record your personal checkbook into it too so all of the information is in one place when getting ready to do your income taxes. Sales taxes are a breeze with the information ready to go on your return. 3. Inventory quantities are always at you finger tips for those calls from customers or distributors asking "do you have 3 bottles of..." 4. The invoice shows retail prices (and distributor's cost on the screen only) for easy converting to wholesale prices when a distributor needs something fast from you for a GOOD CUSTOMER who is out of product. We designed it so the BV prints in the invoice and our Customers are asking "what is BV"?, I can't help that they bring up the business. 5. It keeps track of Accounts Receivable from customers you shipped product to (or distributors that need to borrow until their order arrives). 6. Customers and distributors names, addresses and phone numbers, voice mail extensions, credit card numbers and expiration date and are Social Security numbers always at your finger tips after being entered into the system. This becomes real handy when in a hurry to place orders on Friday night and for placement information on new applications. 7. For those who need more help, individual training can be provided by calling our toll free 800# at a rate of $80 per hour for Norm on a scheduled time basis. Lower rates are available from $30 - $60 depending of the level of training needed and the availability of our staff. Norm generally gets you started over the rough stuff and then turns you over to lower level staff who take it from there. Group training at a reduced cost (depending on the size of the group) will be available in our office for those that are local to Harrisburg or York, PA. 9. QuickBooks can transfer all your MA business tax data into TurboTax (or to Intuits ProSeries used by many professional accountants) at year end. Whether you do your own tax returns or use an accountant, it can save a lot of time and money. We also provide tax preparation services to people in numerous states with or without QuickBooks. 10. The cost is $95 including shipping and handling. The preferred and fastest method of distribution is by e-mail or it can be sent by mail on a 3.5" floppy or CD.
